This wonderful, beautiful cat set against a kaleidoscope of colors and sparkles just brings a smile to my face, and I hope Cupcake can bring a smile to yours as well. The first question I always get asked is, “Why is it called cupcake? The cat is clearly holding a donut.” My response is simple, because I wanted to call it cupcake. The real answer is less clever. When making the piece the colors behind the cat reminded me of cupcake frosting and suddenly the name just stuck, and I could not change it even when I tried. It just seemed so perfect. So, behold! cupcake! (Yes it is supposed to be cupcake and not Cupcake. Why? BECAUSE!)
